UAE National Day Outfits for Kids

National Day on 2 December is one of the few fixed points in the UAE school calendar that every parent has to dress for, usually at short notice and usually in red, green, white or black. Schools hold celebrations, families go out, and there are a lot of photographs. The practical problem is that most flag-coloured clothing sold for the occasion is worn once and never again. Our approach is different: pick pieces in those colours that work as ordinary clothes for the rest of the year, so the outfit earns its place in the drawer. December in the UAE is genuinely pleasant, so a light cotton layer is usually right, with something warmer for the evening. Order two to three weeks ahead. Demand for red, green and white in kids' sizes spikes hard in late November and the popular sizes go first.
