Keeping a pleat through the wash
Pleats survive best on a cool, gentle cycle, hung to dry rather than tumbled. Heat is what relaxes a pleat permanently, so line drying in UAE air, which is quick anyway, is the safest approach.
Length and play
A skirt that sits around the knee gives enough coverage for climbing frames and slides without catching. Anything much shorter tends to need adjusting all day, which is usually why a skirt stops being chosen.
